Lagoon - Appeal Dismissed.
The appeal against the refusal to grant planning consent for the Bio Fertiliser lagoon at Home Farm has been dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate. No more trains at Watton-at-Stone
Great Northern Trains are consulting about changes to their timetable comming into effect May 2018. They are proposing to curtail trains to and from Watton-at-Stone and replace them with a rail replacement bus service between Hertford North/Watton-at-Stone/Stevenage. The timetable consultation document is available on their website. The relevant page is page 66.

Village Lunch for Dane End and around.
The lunch is hosted by the church and supported by the Parish Council.
It takes place at 12 noon in the Memorial Hall, on the third Thursday of every Month, all welcome.
Small donation of £5 per head. Lifts can be arranged if required.

Boot News.
Boot Food We are pleased to announce that the kitchen is now fully staffed, and we are serving traditional pub food. Now that the warmer weather is here we are no longer serving Sunday lunches.
Food is served Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6‐9pm, Saturday 12‐5pm and Sunday 12‐4pm. If you have any special occasions you would like to celebrate in The Boot please contact us.

News from East Herts Council
Shiny new toilets with modern facilities and rippled white tiles will be welcomed by everyone caught short while visiting Hertford’s green space, Hartham Common.
At the start of March, the old block will be closed down when the new toilets in Hartham Pavilion, next to the leisure centre, will be opened by East Herts Council. As well as ladies and men’s, there is a large smart accessible toilet. More info here.
